Bashar Lazaar
Director of Operations - Middle East & North AfricaConsenSysBashar focused his early career on energy projects across the MENA region just after graduating from Babson College with BS degree.
Combining his knowledge in finance and renewable energies Bashar worked to deliver financial engineering for utility scale PV & Wind power plant development in the MENA region.
While employed at SunEdison, Bashar took a keen interest in Ethereum Blockchain's potential implementation within the energy sector, and made a shift to ConsenSys, where he contributed to launching its MENA operation and establishing the Dubai office.
As part of his day to day responsibilities, Bashar has been actively engaging in ConsenSys' strategic advisory role for the City of Dubai. Bashar currently serves as Meridio’s EU lead.
