Jason Cooper is a Blockchain Specialist with DarkMatter, a role in which he designs and implements the Research & Development team’s Blockchain SDK product suite. In this assignment, Jason focuses on identity management, gradual integration, and support for the Internet of Things (IoT).

He has spent a majority of his career as a Senior Systems Engineer, designing custom secure communications systems for select portions of the U.S. Government. More recently, he was the Vice President of Special Technical Projects at Silent Circle; working closely with two founders of PGP on cryptographic messaging protocols and key management.

Jason earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Grove City College; he’s an active member of the Open Source community and has been a part-time Linux Kernel Maintainer for several years.
